All of our upgraded turbochargers come with performance thrust bearings. We take pride in making strong and reliable turbochargers, this is done by using the best quality parts and our many years of engineering experience to solve and pioneer solutions and designs to increase the units overall strength & performance.

Upgrade Options

  • It is the bearings job to support the axial & radial loads of the turbocharger. In a journal bearing system it does this through a process called hydrodynamic lubrication, whereby fluid (oil in this instance) is fed through the bearings oil galleries to create a thin pressurised film of oil that the shaft floats on.

    The 360° thrust bearing is a must have addition when looking at a performance upgrades. It allows for heavier thrust loads due to its higher surface area compared to a standard 270° thrust kit. We offer this as a complementary modification with all hybrid options, as a necessary upgrade to improve endurance and reliability.

  • We offer multiple options when it comes to upgrading a turbochargers compressor side. This usually consists of re-profiling the compressor cover and installing a larger Billet compressor wheel.

    A Billet compressor wheel uses aerospace grade aluminium to producing a stronger yet lighter replacement for its cast counterpart.

    With a number of blade configurations available, we can recommend a compressor wheel upgrade that will compliment your turbocharger.

  • On selected turbos, we also offer turbine upgrades that allow for greater airflow on specific builds (which under other circumstances could become bottle necked due to a disproportionate compressor wheel size). A larger turbine wheel increases the turbochargers overall power capability.

    Depending on the configuration, cutting back your turbine blades can reduce back pressure, allowing for greater flow of the turbo. Greater flow allows for reduced back pressure which in turn can help to lower turbine temperature.

    All of our turbine upgrades are performed in-house with our high tech precision machinery.
