Not all turbocharger failures require a full replacement, in fact more often than not you can save a substantial amount of money by choosing to have a turbo rebuilt instead of replaced.
Our turbocharger repair services ensures the turbo will be fully operational back to OE quality or higher. As standard practice, all the serviceable running components will be replaced such as rings, journal bearings and thrust assemblies. We blast and often polish (where applicable) the reclaimable parts to bring the aesthetic of the turbocharger back to brand new meaning it will look and perform its best.
With a fully equipped machine shop, we often repair components to avoid replacing parts unnecessarily; this in turn saves money on your rebuild cost and avoids unnecessary material wastage.
Our repair service generally starts from £250+VAT. Same day and 24h repair services are available when you drop off your turbo at our workshop (subject to parts availability).
We supply and stock a range of brand new and remanufactured turbochargers, ready to be shipped the same day by express delivery service. Actuators.
At Turbo Reman & Owen Developments, we have facility to test the operation and condition of conventional vacuum & pressure type actuators along with testing & repairing REA (Rotary Electronic Actuator) or SREA (Simple Rotary Electronic Actuators).
The main faults usually associated with a faulty or damaged actuator are complete or intermittent power loss.
Intermittent power loss can be caused by the VNT system in the turbocharger sticking due to carbon build up in the turbine housing. The vehicle will notice the electronic actuator isn’t operating the VNT and can often put the vehicle into limp mode. Usually when your VNT starts to stick, the motor and nylon gearing inside the actuator will start to wear due to the resistance against the components caused by carbon build up.
With means of testing and repairing most types of actuator, getting you back on the road after an actuator fault is often a straightforward fix at Turbo Reman.

Our upgrade service allows you to upgrade you turbocharger increasing its reliability, durability and performance through a number of tested modifications over a wide range of turbochargers - We don’t currently offer an upgrade service on VNT turbo systems.
